From Nov 1, Rudong county in Nantong has implemented a management method for charging fees for temporary parking of motor vehicles in urban areas to standardize parking order and enhance efficient use of temporary and public parking garages.

Currently, there are 140,000 car owners in the county, while there are only about 40,000 parking spaces. The difficulty of parking has plagued citizens for a long time, and has gradually begun to hinder the development of urban transport.

Formulating temporary parking charging regulations can not only standardize parking order, but also effectively alleviate traffic congestion by eliminating motor vehicles' parking in public spaces for long periods.

The smart parking platform realizes the integration, sharing and dispatch of parking resources throughout the county, provides convenient services such as searches for remaining parking spaces, directional guidance to the spaces and ease of payment.
