A carrier of the modern service industry in Rudong county, administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province, the Peilai Group Industrial Park officially opened on Oct 8.

Situated in the Rudong Economic Development Zone, the park is invested by Peilai Group and intends to become a modern e-commerce complex and a domestic first-class cosmetics cross-border e-commerce platform.

Established in Hong Kong in 2010, Peilai Group is headquartered in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Its supply chain is distributed in China, South Korea, Japan, Switzerland, Italy and other places.

Construction of the cosmetics cross-border e-commerce storage center, invested by Peilai Group with $100 million, started in the Rudong Economic Development Zone in June 2019.

The floor space for the project is six hectares and the covered area for the newly built storage buildings and supporting facilities is about 60,000 square meters. Having begun operations on Oct 8, the center will be able to store 5,000 tons of cosmetics annually and achieve annual sales of 3.5 billion yuan ($519 million).

In recent years, the Rudong Economic Development Zone has equally emphasized the advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, taken modern service as a key industry development direction, and actively promoted the large-scale, branding and standardized development of the modern service industry. The opening of Peilai Group Industrial Park and the operation of the storage center insert new power into the high-quality development of the modern service industry in Rudong.
