Project worth $30m comes into operation in Hai'an

The second phase of Checkpoint Electronics (Jiangsu) Co Ltd, located at the Hai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, came into operation on Sept 24.
The second phase of Checkpoint is the third key project invested by CCL Group in Hai'an, a county-level city of Nantong. With a total investment of $30 million, the project has so far input over 100 million yuan ($14.7 million) in equipment and employed 400 staff.
Its RFID (radio frequency identification) workshop can annually produce one billion radio frequency labels.
Being a global leading manufacturer of high-end labels, CCL Group is a listed enterprise from Toronto, Canada and has established 175 plants in various countries such as the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and China.
According to Li Dagang, president of CCL Group in China, the group's sales in Hai'an will exceed 450 million yuan this year and are expected to reach 700 million yuan in 2021 and 900 million yuan in 2022.
