Zhongnan Group, Nantong Sanjian Group, and Longxin Group, all of which are based in Haimen district, Nantong, made the 2020 Top 500 Chinese Private Enterprise list, which was published by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce on Sept 10.

The companies ranked 11th, 31st, and 207th, respectively, with operating revenues of 282.14 billion yuan ($40.88 billion), 149.8 billion yuan, and 42.05 billion yuan.

Zhongnan Group and Nantong Sanjian Group were the top two Nantong companies, while the former also ranked sixth among China's top 100 private enterprises in the service industry.

Statistics show that this year's threshold for making the top 500 private enterprises stood at 20.2 billion yuan in operating revenue, up significantly from 18.59 billion yuan in 2019.

Among the 14 Nantong-based companies on the list, two reported operating revenues of more than 100 billion yuan, while six earned more than 50 billion yuan.

The three Haimen-based companies were also recently included in the 2020 ENR Top 250 International Contractors list, with Nantong Sanjian Group ranking 122nd, Longxin Group 194th, and Zhongnan Construction Investment Group, a subsidiary of Zhongnan group, at 240th.
