Vegetable processing industrial alliance established in Haimen
A provincial technological innovation alliance for vegetable quick-freezing and processing was established in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on July 26.
The high rate of vegetable loss during the production and transportation stages has been a perennial problem in the vegetable quick-freezing and processing industry.
For this reason, Jiangsu Zhongbao Food Co had as early as 2018 discussed with the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Jiangnan University and several food companies to set up such an alliance.
Jiangsu Zhongbao Food Co, which is the chairman of the alliance, is a leading company in the cold-chain processing and transportation of agricultural products. Its daily production capacity is more than 800 tons.
The alliance currently has 25 members that will work together to reduce the loss of fresh vegetables during picking, storage, transportation and processing, and promote the upgrading and transformation of the vegetable industry in Jiangsu.
