The Rudong county transport bureau signed a strategic cooperation agreement on building a new energy vehicle charging network with State Grid Jiangsu Electric Vehicle Service Co and Rudong power supply branch of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co Ltd on July 21.

The three parties will carry out cooperation in six aspects – construction and operation of charging facilities, rental and sales of vehicles, construction of power grid supporting facilities, development of an intelligent platform for parking lots, specialized planning for charging facilities and a regional charging alliance, and promotion of green development of public transport in Rudong county.

So far, Rudong county has 226 urban and rural buses, of which 146 are new energy vehicles equipped with 10 sets of charging piles. To accelerate the promotion of green transport and intelligent travel, the county will gradually replace its current vehicles with new energy pure electric models. A total of 108 new energy vehicles are expected to be operable in 2020.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the number of new energy pure electric automobiles in Rudong should exceed 300.
