A mobilization meeting on inclusive financing in rural areas was held in Tongzhou district, Nantong on July 8. The meeting discussed the full coverage of credit authorization to an entire village, support for rural economic development and guarantees for accurate delivery of credit funds.

Promoting credit authorization to an entire village is an important part of the strategy of rural revitalization. Tongzhou district initiated the "one bank, one village" inclusive finance pilot project in 2019, and achieved remarkable results. To date, 18,000 peasant households in the district have been granted credit and the credit amount reached 1.47 billion yuan ($210 million).

Cheng Xiaohong, executive deputy head of Tongzhou district, said that entire-village credit authorization should be combined with financial knowledge such as illegal fund-raising prevention and credit system construction to improve the financial literacy of the general public.

Zhu Weimin, deputy head of the standing committee of the district people's congress, said that the congress will play a good role in supervision, coordinate various forces and focus on solving the difficulties in the process of credit authorization.
