Construction starts on 21 projects costing $3.8b in Tongzhou
Construction started March 30 on 21 projects, which have attracted 26.7 billion yuan ($3.8 billion) in total investment, in Tongzhou district, Nantong, Jiangsu province.
The projects involve several fields, including information technology, intelligent equipment and intelligent logistics.
The Nantong branch of Shennan Circuits Co serves as its major production base in East China and produces high-precision, high-density multilayer printed wiring boards and develops related technologies.
The first and second phases of the production base have been completed and put into production. The sales revenue was up to 1.24 billion yuan in 2019. The third phase is expected to cost around 2 billion yuan.
Zhou Jinqun, general manager of Shennan Circuits Co, said that the district is proving to be a good place for investment, as the company develops well here. The company will further promote specialized, intelligent and modernized production lines.
According to Zhou, the Nantong branch of Shennan Circuits Co will have over 4 billion yuan in annual sales revenue, after the three phases reach the full productivity.
Chen Yonghong, secretary of the district's Party committee, expressed the hope that the local government can take the opportunity to cultivate industrial clusters, adopt the user-oriented concept in investment promotion and project construction, and facilitate the improvement of the business environment.
The district plans to develop into a county-level district boasting the highest efficiency, the best services and the largest investment potential in the province.
