Things you need to know about home quarantine
On January 20, 2020, the National Health Commission released a No 1 Notice that included the novel coronavirus pneumonia(COVID-19)among Class B infectious diseases as prescribed in the China Infectious Disease Prevention Act. However, prevention and control measures of Class A infectious diseases were adopted against the disease, so home quarantine is considered a justified response. On January 24, WHO also put forward suggestions on home quarantine, which can effectively cut off transmission and lower the risk of infection. By reducing the risk of transmission to others and saving on human and medical resources, it can also minimize damage to society and daily life. Therefore, home quarantine is considered necessary and has become the most recommended way to prevent and control the virus. We hope that everyone will follow these guidelines in earnest to guarantee the safety of themselves and everyone around them.
