Worker at a power supply station in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province offered help to a local family March 9, allowing a student to take a class online.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, residents were asked to stay at home to protect themselves from infection. At government request, schools extended their winter holiday and provided students with online classes whenever possible.

Ge Yaqin is a student at Tongzhou Shizong Middle School. She found the power was suddenly cut when she was going to take an online class on March 9. She was worried as her mobile phone battery was low.

Her elder brother checked the electricity meter box and distribution box, but he could not find the cause of the power failure. He had no other choice but to call Ding Guoqi, who was in charge of the power supply service in the area.

Generally, workers at power supply stations do not help repair internal failures in households. But Ding got to Ge's home 10 minutes after learning about the situation.

Ding quickly found that there was a problem in the fuse wire. After changing it, the power at Ge's home returned to normal. Ge Yaqin then charged her mobile phone and continued her online class.
