At the invitation of Nantong Museum, 10 calligraphers write Spring Festival couplets and the Chinese character fu, which means good luck, on red paper, and send them to people on Jan 18. The activity was meant to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Jan 25. Hanging new red couplets and the Chinese character fu on doors is an important tradition for Chinese people to usher in a prosperous and happy new year. [Photo/ntfabu.com]
