Around 100 enterprises provided over 3,500 job opportunities involving machinery, electronic engineering, sales, and more, during a recruitment fair held on Jan 16 in Tongzhou district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, attracting more than 2,000 job hunters.

"I am a Tongzhou native and I want to find a job in my hometown, as it is has been developing rapidly in recent years," said Gu Weijie, a graduate of the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

A recruiter from Jiangsu Meihi Trading Co said that the company provided over 10 job opportunities, including positions as an operation manager and a customer service worker. He said he hoped to attract outstanding talent with tempting benefits.

According to an employee of a furniture manufacturing company, it is now easier for disabled people to work in the production line, as a number of machines have been introduced that help reduce labor intensity. 

He said the company will provide disable people with a comfortable living environment and convenient facilities, and that skilled workers will receive higher salaries and better welfare.

In addition, more than 300 targeted job opportunities were also offered to ex-servicemen of a variety of ages, specializations, and experiences.
