Nantong Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering Co, based in Qidong, Nantong, Jiangsu province, was recently recognized as an "Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)", making it the first enterprise in Qidong to receive the title.

The AEO system was created by the World Customs Organization, and enterprises that have solid credit ratings and good safety management can receive an AEO certificate after passing an examination. 

Certificated enterprises enjoy more convenient customs clearance and several other perks. By enhancing their credibility in international trade, enterprises can enhance their competitiveness.

At the beginning of 2019, Qidong made it a goal to help local companies obtain AEO certifications. Local customs investigated enterprises with good credit and encouraged them to participate in the AEO examination.

Experts from Nantong Customs were also invited to offer advice to enterprises, helping increase their chances of obtaining credit certifications.
