Exhibition held on innovative blue calico designs

A blue calico exhibition was held at the Nantong Blue Calico Museum in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 22.
More than 100 blue calico works by people who attended an innovative design session were on display.
The training session was sponsored by the China National Arts Fund, and 40 craftspeople from Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei, Anhui, Shandong, Gansu, Hebei, Fujian, Jiangsu, and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region took part.
Over the past month, participants researched and developed five types of new blue calico products, including traditional patterns, modern patterns, interior decorations, garments and clothing, and handicrafts.
The exhibition was meant to showcase the achievements of participants and encourage the integration of traditional art with modern design.
