Goat meat from Haimen, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently included on a list of China's top 300 agricultural brands.

The news was announced at the 17th China International Agricultural Trade Fair, which was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi province from Nov 15 to 18.

Haimen goat was one of 12 Jiangsu brands to make the list, and the only Nantong brand.

The brand was also listed among China's 100 most valuable agricultural brands and 100 most influential agricultural brands.

At a special promotional event for the brand, attended by representatives from many agricultural giants, Haimen officials discussed the development of the local goat industry and its meat processing techniques.

In recent years, the Haimen government has been working to enhance its agricultural brands by holding various harvest festivals and promotional events.

In addition to its goat meat, the city is also making efforts to promote its chicken, taro, red beans, and broad beans around the country.
