Haimen, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, signed more than $17 million in cooperation agreements with exhibitors at the second China International Import Expo held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.
The projects involve intelligent equipment, food and agricultural products, medical equipment, and healthcare.
The city has sent 908 delegates from 174 companies and organizations to the expo to learn about the latest industrial trends and seek cooperation. The delegation mainly focused on electronic information, machinery equipment, automobiles, services, and trade.
"The expo provides us with a great opportunity to improve our products and enhance our innovation abilities," said Zhang Xiaofeng, chairman of Jiangsu Guo Kong Power Equipment Co.
Another representative from a Haimen-based foreign trade company said the company mainly exports home textile products to the United States and Colombia, and the expo allowed it to learn more about the market demands of different countries.
