Haimen Middle School was recently included on a list of China's top 100 middle schools in 2019.

Regarded as the “highest honor” for Chinese middle schools, the list has been carried out biennially since 2005 and is based on published data, third-party investigations, expert opinions, and media assessment.

Schools are evaluated based on their reputation, teaching quality, student quality, campus environment, and alumni resources and services.

The entries were not specifically ranked and were listed according to region.

A total of five middle schools in Jiangsu province made it on the list this year, with two being located in Nantong. In addition to Haimen Middle School, the other schools to make the list were the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing Foreign Language School, Huaiyin Middle School, and Qidong Middle School.

Founded in 1912, Haimen Middle School has been included on the list for the past eight years.
