170m yuan spent to renovate aging residential areas
Hai'an, Nantong, a city in East China's Jiangsu province, has invested 170 million yuan ($27.73 million) this year to renovate 189 aging residential areas and improve the living environment for residents.
According to local authorities, 102 of 189 aging residential areas planned for renovation this year have been completed.
Renovations on the old residential areas include repairing pavement, better organizing parking spaces, improving drainage systems, and painting corridors and building exteriors.
The local government has also implemented renovation projects in 72 urban villages.
