High-end home textile project begins in Haimen
Construction work on the Kaisheng High-end Home Textile Production Center, a key project for the third quarter of 2019, will begin with a groundbreaking ceremony held on Aug 23 in Haimen, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, according to local media.
The center, which is expected to attract 1 billion yuan ($140 million) in investment, will include production workshops, research and development workshops, and comprehensive office buildings. It will also feature silk quilt production lines, high-tech fiber production lines, supporting core production lines, and latex product (pillows, mats, etc.) production lines.
This is Haimen Industrial Park's third key project of the year.
After the center begins operating, it is expected to produce 2 million sets of bedding products per year.
Based in Haimen, Kaisheng Home Textile developed from a small workshop employing around a dozen people to a large modern enterprise integrating R&D, design, production, and sales. In 2015, it was listed on the New OTC (Over the Counter) Market and became one of the leading enterprises in the modern home textile industry in Haimen.
The project shows that Kaisheng Home Textile has entered a new stage of development and is expected to continue leading the transformation and upgrading of the textile industrial chain.
