Hai'an moves to cooperate with SICCAS
A symposium on industrial-academic-research cooperation between Hai'an, in Nantong, a city in eastern Jiangsu province, and the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS), was held on July 29.
Song Lixin, director of SICCAS, said at the symposium that Hai'an had great potential for development. Song said SICCAS would start and operate a project with local companies in Hai'an for them to advance their technological innovation and improve their efficiency and profitability.
At the same time, the institute would move to work closely with Hai'an, reach long-term strategic partnerships with more high-grade businesses, introduce more cutting-edge science and technology projects to the city and further develop and build a conducive local science and technology innovation environment, Song said.
Yu Lizhong, mayor of Hai'an, expressed his hope that the SICCAS could work with more local enterprises in the near future, and introduce the results of its latest research on new materials to Hai'an, as well as attract more top-flight professionals to come to Hai'an for their innovation and entrepreneurship.
Yu added that Hai'an would continue to improve its various services, fully accelerate the construction of innovative platforms and comprehensively carry out the introduction and cultivation of talent.
At the symposium, SICCAS signed a strategic cooperation contract with a glass company of Hai'an.
