Light alloy new material project begins in Haimen
Construction work on a light alloy new material project began in Haimen, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, with a launching ceremony held on June 30, according to local media.
The project, established in Sijia town in Haimen, covers an area of 180 mu (12 hectares).
It expects to develop a domestic first-class lightweight materials and structure R&D and manufacturing base integrating light alloy casting, machining, surface treatment, testing, collaborative design and technical services with the completion of the three phases of the project.
It will strive to be a national-level light alloy engineering center aiming to promote the upgrade of the related industry.
