The 2019 “Zhang Jian Cup” China International Home Textile Design Competition was officially launched in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on June 19.
The competition is hosted by the China Home Textile Association and the Nantong government. It is aimed at integrating home textiles with fashion, high-technology, and art in order to produce more creative products to meet a growing demand.
Companies and institutes can sign up through the Chengguo app, an online platform where designers can trade their original works.
Participants are encouraged to download the app on their mobile phones and submit their personal info and art works before August 26.
This year’s event will offer awards for individual designers for the first time. The registration deadline falls on August 12.
The competition was established in 2006 and has developed into a prestigious event for the domestic home textile industry. It also serves as a platform for communication between designers and for the promotion of home textile brands.
