Home textile industry booms in Nantong

Located in Haimen, a county-level city in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, Dieshiqiao international home textile town was built in 1982 at a total investment of 500 million yuan ($ 74.5 million).
Over the past few decades, the town has developed a comprehensive industrial chain, with upgraded infrastructure and an efficient transport network.
It is currently home to more than 2,500 home textile companies with over 500,000 employees. More than 1,000 categories of products are sold in nearly 350 cities nationwide and to more than 130 countries and regions around the world.
Combining online and offline sales, it earned more than 110 billion yuan in 2018, taking over 40 percent of the domestic market.
