Haimen Fruit and Vegetable Festival opened in Haimen, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on June 4, as part of the China Forest Tour Festival activities, according to Nantong Daily.

In recent years, Haimen city has been vigorously promoting the “three full coverage” pilots and new cooperative farms with high standard farmland, moderate scale operation and social service alliance. The high standard farmland area reached 591,000 mu (39,400 hectares), accounting for 74.4 percent, and the proportion of moderate scale operation reached 65.2 percent.

The city has built 250,000 mu of high-quality green ecological fruit and vegetable bases, with a facility horticultural area of 100,000 mu.
