The inauguration ceremony for a new technology transfer center at the Changshu Institute of Technology (CIT) was held in Rudong county, Nantong, in Jiangsu province, on April 11.

The new center, situated in Rudong Economic Zone, was established by CIT and the government of Rudong county to promote technological exchanges and industrial innovation.

The center plans to build a data center for technological achievement, an operational center for major programs, a research center for industrial policies and a training center to attract talented professionals .

Fan Bingliang, director of the CIT technology office, told at the ceremony that the institute has in recent years attracted to its ranks a group of senior engineers expert in intelligent manufacturing, automatic control and electricity -- offering key support in terms of resources to personnel.

“CIT plans to organize 20 technological programs to help with the industrial upgrade in Rudong,” Fan added.

The new center is expected to help create a new cooperative environment for improved production, teaching and research.
