Construction on all venues for the 2019 China Forest Tour Festival is going smoothly, according to authorities from the host city of Nantong in East China’s Jiangsu province.

The city will spare no effort to ensure the festival is a success, said Xi Huimin, mayor of Nantong, at a work meeting earlier this year.

A series of measures and projects have been carried out to improve the city’s image and elevate its tourism and service industries.

According to Zhu Jinhua, director of the festival’s organizing commission, an initial schedule for the event has been drawn up. It consists of an opening ceremony, a promotional conference, a promotional forum, three provincial and municipal-level linkage activities, and nine Nantong-related activities.
