Haimen kicks off entrepreneurship competition
Eager rivals are readying themselves to do battle, after the city of Haimen in Jiangsu province officially launched the 4th Haimen Entrepreneurship Competition on March 27, according to local media.
Competitors are asked to register for event online and the registration deadline is April 25, with the finals to be held in late May.
The competition will focus on outstanding entrepreneurship teams and high-tech projects in the fields of biomedicines, high-end medical equipment, intelligent equipment, intelligent buildings, new materials and modern home textiles.
The tournament will gather innovative and entrepreneurial resources at home and abroad, to boost the industrial transformation and upgrading of Haimen city.

The competition has two first prizes, four second prizes, six third prizes and four outstanding awards, which will each be awarded 80,000 yuan ($12,000), 50,000 yuan, 30,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan respectively.
Support funds of up to 3 million yuan, 2 million yuan, 1 million yuan and 600,000 yuan will be given to the winning projects if they are to be settled in Haimen.
The organizing committee of the competition will carry out a project qualification review, inviting judges and experts to conduct technical reviews, and select 40 to 50 projects to enter the inspection and shortlisting process.
From April 26 to May 15, the selected projects will be organized in groups to go to Haimen for field visits and discussions.
