Chen Yonghong, party secretary of Tongzhou district committee, urged to gather strength to promote the building of big projects during his visit to a project field on March 15.

Chen visited some project sites on the day and called for local departments to make more efforts to promote the project progress.

“Project construction is a strong engine to promote regional economic development,” Chen said.

“We now have many projects worth more than 5 billion yuan ($740 million), and we want to introduce more projects which are over 10 billion yuan,” Chen said.

Chen visited 28 project fields in 13 towns on March 15, inquiring progress of the projects and gaining in-depth knowledge of difficulties in the projects.

Chen emphasized to accelerate the project construction as scheduled when inspecting the textile project field.

Chen also urged the development of more competitive tourism brands relying on natural tourism resources at the motor homes camping project site.

He encouraged enhancing coordination and improving services, and promoting big projects to put into production earlier.
