Haimen reports cleaner air for February
Residents of Haimen in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province are able to enjoy cleaner air thanks to recent efforts by local authorities to clean up the city’s environment.
The city reported a drop in PM2.5 particles for February, with 42.5 micrograms per cubic meter recorded as the city average for the month.
This means the city now ranks third in the province for clean air, with Qidong currently ranked first by the provincial Department of Ecology and Environment.
Over the course of 2018, a total of 246 air pollution prevention and control projects were initiated, with 192 completed by the end of the year.
