14 landscaping projects agreed for Chongchuan
Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, will launch 14 landscaping projects this year, according to information released by the district’s housing and urban-rural development bureau on March 11.
The projects include the development of new parks and landscaping engineering work in residential areas and riverside, adding 250,000 square meters of greenery.
The additions to the local environment are being made possible thanks to government funding worth a total of 116.55 million yuan ($17.35 million).
Man-made lakes and playgrounds for children will also be built, with the aim of improving local facilities and the environment.
And this year will see the 2019 China Forest Tour Festival held in Nantong. As the main venue of the event, Chongchuan will place great emphasis on landscaping projects and strive to present Nantong as a pleasant city to live in.
