Xu Xinmin, vice mayor of Nantong, Jiangsu province, made an investigative tour to Tongzhou district on March 6.

Chen affirmed the great achievements made by Tongzhou in recent years. Chen pointed out that the district government should improve public services and enhance communication with common people.

He urged the district government to tackle problems on time and improve people’s sense of satisfaction and happiness.

Xu was accompanied by Chen Yonghong, secretary of the District Committee of Tongzhou, as well as department head of education, sports, and health sectors in the district.

Tongzhou district has made great efforts in its social development in recent years.

Six kindergartens were built last year and two primary schools were put into use, including Nanshanhu Primary School and Yinhe Primary School.

The health service has been improved and 962,000 electronic records for residents were established. Besides, five new libraries were built and 241 cultural service centers at the village level were built.

Meanwhile, two new gardens and four swimming pools were also put into use last year.
