Hot business opportunities in India presented in Nantong
Hot business opportunities were flavor of the day at an India-China (Nantong) investment and tourism cooperation promotional conference which was held in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on March 5.
Business leaders and officials from the Indian Consulate in Shanghai gave detailed briefings on the business environment across their country, outlining preferential policies in trade, electronic information, textiles, construction and tourism.
Nantong has maintained a long-term partnership with India, with Zhongtian Technology, a Nantong-based cable manufacturer, having successfully entered the Indian market back in 2009.
The company set up an optical fiber manufacturing plant in India which currently has an estimated 70 percent of the local market share.
Statistics show that by the end of 2018, Nantong’s companies had invested an estimated $31.58 million in India.
