Haimen Middle School Choir won the gold medal at the 2019 International Youth Arts Festival held in Berlin, Germany and Vienna, Austria in February, according to local media reports.

The 2019 International Youth Arts Festival is an international event initiated to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, as well as promote friendships between young people in China and young people abroad.

The performance venues included Berlin's French Cathedral, the Berlin University of the Arts Concert Hall, and Vienna Golden Hall in Austria.

During the arts festival, Haimen Middle School Choir won the gold medal with their chorus performances called Shenandoah and Mozart's Papageno's Little Bells.
