A total of 20 elders who were born in 1949, the same year of the establishment of the People's Republic of China, gathered together at the activity center of Santang village, Hai'an high-tech zone, Nantong, Jiangsu province to celebrate their 70th birthday and China's 70th anniversary on Feb 9, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year.

During the activity, the seniors shared their feelings about China's development over the past 70 years. In addition, they sang patriotic songs together to express their gratitude for the nation.
