Two other villages in Tongzhou district, Nantong, have been rated as provincial e-commerce demonstration villages.

The title was awarded by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce and so far there are 362 administrative villages that have become e-commerce demonstration villages in the province.

Tongzhou district has made great efforts to combine its local industry with e-commerce.

The district has always attached great importance to the development of rural e-commerce. E-commerce industry has become a pillar industry in the district, with many varieties of products selling on different platforms.

Jiangsu began approving e-commerce demonstration villages since 2014. According to the announcement from the provincial Department of Commerce, local governments are urged to provide more support and directions on the building of e-commerce villages. Integrated development is encouraged among first, second and tertiary industries.

According to statistics from Tongzhou district's business department, the district now has six e-commerce demonstration villages. There are now 18 e-commerce demonstration villages in Nantong.
