Hai’an holds high-quality development forum in Shanghai
The Hai’an (Shanghai) High-quality Development Forum was held in Shanghai on Nov 26.
A total of 56 projects were signed during the forum, including ones for food automation equipment, special vehicles, precision electronic components and auto parts manufacturing. Among these projects, 49 are funded by domestic investors and seven are funded by foreign investors, with a total planned investment of 12.6 billion yuan ($1.82 billion) and $450 million respectively.
Hai’an, a county-level city of Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, has been deepening its cooperation with Shanghai in recent years.

More than 500,000 Shanghai tourists visit Hai'an every year. Numerous well-known Shanghai enterprises, such as Shanghai Diesel, Saic Motor and Shanghai Electric have made investments in Hai'an. More than 30 Shanghai institutions of higher learning, including Fudan University and Tongji University have established industrial research institutes and contact spots between enterprises, universities and research institute in Hai'an. The jointly- built parks, such as Shanghai Yangpu (Hai'an) Industrial Park, Shanghai Fengxian (Hai'an) Industrial Park, Shanghai food (Hai'an) Industrial Park, Shanghai Railway Administration Hai'an Logistics Base have become the important vehicles of the cooperation between Shanghai and Hai’an.
