The project is an important part of the education adjustment and balanced education development strategy in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province. It was funded and constructed by Yangkou Port City Development Co Ltd with investment of about 200 million yuan ($30 million). The total land area is 91,617 square meters and the construction area is 43,725 sq m.

The school is divided into seven large functional areas: an administrative office area, a primary school teaching area, a junior middle school teaching area, a central area, an auxiliary teaching area, a logistics living area and a sports area. The project has been put into use.
