The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area and Donghai Airlines signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Sept 19.
The two parties intend to collaboratively establish a regional headquarters in Eastern China, enhance industrial cooperation and explore equity investments.
The regional headquarters is set to be based in NETDA, overseeing administrative functions, market operations and strategic management. Once completed, it is expected to bring together about 1,000 professionals, including pilots, flight attendants, ground staff and operations management personnel.
Founded in 2002, Donghai Airlines is China's first private Sino-foreign joint venture passenger and cargo airline approved by the Ministry of Commerce and the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
