The event brought together about 100 participants, including representatives from leading shipbuilders, artificial intelligence researchers and industry partners.
At the conference, Botsing unveiled three new intelligent crawling welding robots, a standard intelligent welding robot workstation, and two smart sensors. Its Jiluan welding large model had completed a regulatory filing for generative AI services in June, making it the first registered vertical large model for industrial welding in China.
Attendees then visited Botsing's Nantong base and watched a demonstration of its trackless, all-position crawling welding robot.
Nantong's large shipbuilding and marine engineering sector provides a strong base for such technologies, with output value reaching 221.2 billion yuan ($32.96 billion) in 2025. The city is promoting AI in manufacturing, and NETDA is working to connect AI companies with local manufacturers.
