Nantong CBZ ranks 51st among national evaluations

The General Administration of Customs announced the 2024 national performance evaluation results for China's comprehensive bonded zones (CBZ) on Aug 26. Nantong CBZ ranked fifth within the province among 21 zones and 51st nationwide among 154 zones.
In recent years, Nantong CBZ has continued to strengthen its manufacturing, logistics, and trade sectors, while also actively expanding into productive service industries. The city has promoted the development of innovative business models, including cross-border e-commerce, bonded R&D, and bonded exhibitions.
This evaluation's detailed indicators reveal that Nantong's cross-border e-commerce import and export value is 17th nationwide, while its R&D import and export value is 19th. The zone earned top scores in new patent authorizations, enterprise qualification acquisitions, and developing innovative new business models.
Moving forward, Nantong CBZ plans to concentrate on developing new business models, including bonded maintenance, remanufacturing, and bonded leasing, demonstrating the dynamism and accountability of an open platform.
