Concert of xiao staged in NETDA

A special concert of xiao (Chinese vertical end-blown flute) was staged at the NETDA Theater in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) on Aug 16, providing a captivating musical experience for local residents and music lovers throughout the country.
The concert was led by xiao musician Tian Long and featured multiple performers playing the piano and guqin (Chinese zither). Focusing on the xiao, the performance combined different instruments to create a piece that merges both ancient and modern sounds.
In the afternoon, NETDA Theater hosted a lecture on the art of xiao to enhance the audience's understanding of its cultural significance.
NETDA Theater is the first small multi-purpose venue in NETDA. Since opening in 2020, it has hosted more than 350 performances at the provincial and municipal levels, featuring renowned groups like the China Oriental Performing Arts Group, Kaixin Mahua, and the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, reaching an audience of 100,000.
