The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) recently established strategic cooperation relations with Jiangsu College of Engineering and Technology.
On the same day, an industry-education consortium initiated by NETDA, JCET, and Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co was also established.
Bao Delin, Party secretary of NETDA, noted that its partnership with JCET is a crucial move to promote the integration of industries and education while the consortium is expected to accurately match university talent with the requirements of enterprises.
He added that the development area will accelerate the implementation of all cooperation measures under the agreement.
Qin Zhilin, Party secretary of JCET, promised that the college will focus on NETDA's main industries and Nantong's six major industrial clusters to make innovations in talent cultivation.
Qian Jiangfeng, general manager of human resources at Zhongtian, said that as a member of newly-established industry-education consortium, the company will actively help NETDA develop the consortium into a first-class one in China with distinctive characteristics.
The consortium consists of the above-mentioned three founders and over 30 other members of universities, government departments, research institutes and industry associations. It will establish a practice center for industrial robots, two training centers, two industrial colleges featuring new electric power and new-generation information technology, and two industrial generic technology service platforms.
