The Chemical Industry Park in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) recently made the country's key list of green chemical industry parks in 2023, local media reported recently.
The list was published by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation at the 2024 China Chemical Industry Park Sustainable Development Conference, which was held in Taixing, Jiangsu from April 10 to 12.
NETDA's Chemical Industry Park has in recent years pursued green development and optimized industrial layout.
It has reduced the emission of industrial wastes, established central heating centers and industrial gas center, and launched a campaign to restore blue skies, clear water, and pollutant-free soil.
An official from NETDA's ecology and environment bureau introduced the creation of odor-free industry parks in the development area at the conference.
At the event, the zero-emission technology and recycling of waste and reclaimed water in making paper as well as the precise traceability technology of contaminants by NETDA's enterprises were listed among the readily applicable technologies for green chemical industry parks.
