NETDA listed for piloting pollution, carbon emission reduction

The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in Jiangsu province was recently listed as a pilot industrial park for reducing pollution and carbon emissions by the Ministry of Ecological Environment
NETDA is one of the first national economic and technological development areas. As evidence of 30 years of productive development, it has attained status as a national ecological industrial demonstration park as well as a national pilot park for recycling transformation.
In 2022, the output value of the area's new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, medicine and health, as well as new energy industries, totaled 49 billion yuan ($6.84 billion), 38 billion yuan, 28 billion yuan, and 26 billion yuan, respectively.
The newly announced pilot list also includes an additional 42 industrial parks in 21 cities, covering the industrial sectors of steel, nonferrous metals, automobiles, equipment manufacturing, and new energy.
