NETDA adds three provincial intelligent factories

Three companies in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area in East China's Jiangsu province have been shortlisted as provincial intelligent factories, according to an announcement by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu on Feb 1. 

Among them is Zhongtian Energy Storage Technology Co Ltd, which received the honor in recognition of its intelligent facilities that produce high-capacity batteries. Another recipient, Zhongtian Technology Cable Co Ltd, was recognized provincially for its smart facilities that manufacture wires and cables. 

Nantong Jiangshan Agrochemical & Chemicals Limited Liability Co Ltd was conferred the honor in recognition of its intelligent factory that produces environmentally friendly crop protectants. 

NETDA is currently home to four provincial intelligent factories that have high levels of digitalization and cutting-edge technologies.

Digital transformation and intelligent upgrading are key to improving the quality and efficiency of the area's manufacturing sector, said local authorities.
