Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has launched a series of special tourism events focusing on local culture, hot springs, coastal fun and family experiences for this year's National Day holiday.

From Oct 1 to 5, Bencha Ancient Town will host its National Day series, focusing on shopping, garden-style interactive games and a reward redemption program. At interactive points around the town, visitors can earn tickets to redeem a full set of electronic sky lanterns, or exchange them for souvenirs.

For a relaxing break, Chang'anli Hot Spring Hotel will open its hot spring facilities from Oct 1 to 6. The experience includes popular card games and immersive Tang-style folk interactions. Linkesi Hot Spring Town will offer a special program from Oct 1 to 5, giving visitors the chance to try eggs boiled in hot spring water, meet clowns and other characters, cycle through sunflower fields, fly kites, and visit a forest camp with an immersive 5D cinema.

Families can head to Panda Baby Park from Sept 30 to Oct 3 for a night market carnival. The event features themed character parades at 6:30 pm and 8 pm along the main night-market route, stamp-collecting challenges and stage performances.

At Xiaoyangkou Scenic Area, the 2026 University Sports Carnival will run through Oct 24. It will include a football invitational, a street dance competition and a youth fun run. During the seven-day holiday, visitors will be able to enjoy seaside disco, fishing and camping, water flyboarding, and more fun activities.
