As part of extensive cultural exchanges during the China-Russia Years of Education, 24 international students from Russia participated in an immersive journey in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, from May 29 to 30.

An intangible cultural heritage experience course held at Juegang Senior High School in Rudong on May 29 allowed guests to learn about Chinese arts such as woodcut New Year pictures, paper cuttings, and tie-dyeing techniques.

Also, Chinese students' choir and guqin (a seven-stringed Chinese zither) performances, as well as dance and fashion shows performed by Russian students, added to the fun.

Bencha ancient town is their first stop on the second day, greeted by quaint and elegant ancient buildings. They appreciated traditional Chinese calligraphy works, tasted renowned shaobing (sesame seed baked rolls), and experienced traditional woodblock printing techniques.

They also experienced the dragon dance for the first time with teamwork collaboration. "It was my first time experiencing dragon dance, and my arms were very tired, but I found it very interesting," said international student Sasha.
