Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong, Jiangsu province, has extended an invitation to university graduates to consider the city as an ideal place to fulfill their aspirations.
Speaking at a youth talent event held at Nantong University on April 20, Wu expressed his hope that young talent would fall in love with Nantong and put down roots here.
He highlighted how Nantong's dynamic economic growth provides exciting opportunities for everyone.
The city has developed six major industrial clusters and 16 advantageous industrial chains, fostering numerous high-quality enterprises. Choosing Nantong means opting for a fertile ground of thriving industries, abundant job opportunities, and promising prospects, he noted.
The city places a high priority on employing university graduates, offering smooth recruitment channels and strong support for young job seekers.
Wu said Nantong's favorable business environment empowers young talent. The city is actively integrating into the Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) International Science and Technology Innovation Center and accelerating its development as a high-level city that embraces and fosters innovation.
Nantong offers individuals opportunities to capitalize on the rise of one-person companies, become leaders in cross-border e-commerce and live-streaming, or focus on technological and industrial innovation. The city continues to enhance its business services, enabling innovation and entrepreneurship to start without significant barriers and providing comprehensive support.
Nantong's vibrant atmosphere brings people a sense of warmth and happiness, said Wu. As the only city in Jiangsu that offers both a riverfront and seaside, Nantong is deepening its development as a youth-friendly city. It promotes comprehensive coverage of universal childcare, quality education, convenient healthcare, and integrated elderly care, making the city more welcoming to young people.
