Qidong intangible cultural heritage products shine at China International Fashion Fair

The 2026 China International Fashion Fair (CHIC) opened on March 11 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, bringing together nearly 1,300 quality exhibitors from more than 10 countries and regions.

Among the highlights was Zhangzhen Fabric Art, a brand under Qidong Chengyuan Culture Communication, featured a range of intangible cultural heritage products from Qidong. The exhibit included traditional tiger-head shoes and blue calico textiles drew strong attention, while handcrafted fabric pony dolls, playful tiger-head brooches and uniquely textured homespun fabric accessories quickly became crowd favorites.

The fabric pony, jointly developed by Qidong and Xixiang in Shaanxi province, stood out in particular. Its body is made from Qidong's traditional homespun cloth and blue calico, while the saddle incorporates Xixiang's distinctive embroidery techniques, highlighting a blend of regional craftsmanship.

These distinctive heritage-inspired creations not only captivated general visitors but also drew strong interest from professional buyers, with many expressing intent to pursue potential cooperation.
