On the day of the opening ceremony, the internationally renowned contemporary music ensemble, Ensemble L'Itinéraire, delivered a contemporary works exchange concert at the university's concert hall. The orchestra, led by the esteemed conductor Mathieu Romano, featured top international musicians such as Julie Brunet-Jailly. Additionally, Zhang Hanren, a teacher from Nantong University, was invited to perform on the electronic keyboard.

During the opening ceremony, Chen Qian, a participant from Nanjing University, shared her insights and passion for the artistic development of university orchestras. She noted that the training program's curriculum, focused on the internationalization and development of university orchestras, accurately addressed her needs as a university orchestra manager.

Wu Rong, vice-dean of the School of Art at Nantong University, said that hosting this training program not only recognizes the university's achievements in arts education but also serves as a practical effort to promote international cultural exchange. The three-day program is expected to inject new vitality into the development of university orchestras in Jiangsu and advance the internationalization and professionalization of the province's higher education in the arts, she added.
